Flat Roof Products
With over 25 years’ experience in flat roof installation, we have specialist expertise in a wide range of roofing systems including:
Built-up felt roofing (BUFR) has been tried and tested for many decades and offers multi-layer protection. A typical system would comprise of a vapour control layer (VCL) thermal insulation, a bituminous underlay and a high performance cap sheet.
As the name suggests, polymeric single ply roofing is typically installed as a single layer membrane. This type of system tends to offer fast-track, cold-applied installation, has less visible 'seams' and provides an aesthetically pleasing finish.
Cold applied liquid roofing is becoming increasingly popular in the UK marketplace. It is installed without using any 'hot works' and provides a seamless, high quality waterproof finish.
Monolithic hot melt is a rubberised bituminous waterproofing compound that is delivered to site in block form and then liquified in melters. Hot melt is a tough, monolithic material and is generally utilised beneath inverted roofs, podium decks and green roof systems.
Mastic asphalt has been used to provide outstanding waterproofing protection for thousands of years. It is only ever installed by expert craftsmen and is incredibly tough and reliable. However, the product is relatively heavy so may not be appropriate for every roof.
Green roofs (sometimes known as 'roof gardens') are an environmentally friendly option that can be installed as part of the roof waterproofing system. There are various types available, such as extensive, intensive and biodiverse, and the best option will depend on the needs of the client and nature of the building.
